Compliance Coordinator Mexico

Description

As a Compliance Coordinator, you will support our customers in meeting environmental regulatory requirements, with a primary focus on product take-back and recycling obligations. You will serve as a key liaison between customers, authorities, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective compliance management. While the role is primarily focused on Mexico, you may also support projects across Latin America within RLG’s scope.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and manage compliance projects and programs to meet regulatory and customer objectives.
2. Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable environmental regulations, including reporting requirements and deadlines.
3. Coordinate regulatory reporting and communications with environmental authorities. .
4. Analyse local regulations and translate requirements into practical compliance solutions for customers.
5. Monitor and track regulatory developments in Mexico and across Latin America.
6. Collaborate with suppliers and partners on compliance-related activities.
7. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and potentially other tools.
8. Participate in and lead customer meetings and calls.
9. Represent RLG in industry roundtables, working groups, and stakeholder meetings.
10. Support business development efforts, including identifying potential new customers in Mexico.
11. Contribute to regional and global RLG projects as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

1. You have a bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field.
2. You already have 5+ years of proven experience in a similar position.
3. You have high level of English (B2 level or higher) and Native Spanish.
4. You are able to analyse and solve complex conflicts.
5. You have experience in complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, etc.)
8. Beneficial to have experience in the Reverse Logistics, Recycling, Extended Producer Responsibility, or related fields.
