RecoTek is Reconomy’s new centralized technology hub located in Bucharest, Romania, officially launched in February 2024. Serving as the backbone of Reconomy’s tech operations, it consolidates inhouse expertise across all Reconomy brands to accelerate platform development and enhance service delivery.

Recycle loop is utilising the latest technology and data to enable customers to make the best possible use of their materials.
Comply loop is enabling customers to solve increasingly complex environmental regulatory challenges using data, expert knowledge and thought leadership to drive business accountability across the globe.
Re-use loop is providing intelligent technology platforms and agile delivery models for pre-retail logistics and product returns, fulfilment and processing, on behalf of many of Europe’s largest retailers.

About the role

Review and understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
Identify test conditions and highlight ambiguities.
Participate in refinement sessions.
Create test plans and strategies.
Estimate testing effort.
Define required test environments and entry/exit criteria.
Design comprehensive test cases and scenarios.
Apply risk-based and boundary-based testing techniques.
Ensure traceability between requirements and tests.
Perform functional, regression, usability, and exploratory testing.
Execute test cases and log results.
Validate bug fixes and run regression cycles.
Use Postman to validate API endpoints.
Use SQL to verify backend data.
Log clear, detailed defects.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues.
Retest resolved defects.
Validate UI/UX consistency
Identify risks and propose mitigations.
Apply exploratory testing heuristics.
Prepare test reports and summaries.
Track coverage, defect trends, and readiness.
Work with developers, product owners, and designers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies.
Suggest process improvements.
Stay updated with new testing techniques.
Support UAT and production verification testing.

What we need from you

Manual testing of web/mobile applications.
Creating test plans, test cases, and strategies.
Functional, regression, integration, exploratory testing.
Risk-based testing and prioritization.
API testing with Postman.
SQL knowledge for data validation.
Agile methodology experience.
Defect tracking in Jira.
Experience with Xray, TestRail, or Zephyr, Testmo.
Understanding usability/accessibility testing.
UI validation using Figma.
Basic automation knowledge.
Advanced API testing workflows.
Proficiency in Postman.
Basic–intermediate SQL.
Using Jira/Confluence.
Understanding Git basics.
Strong documentation skills.
Browser developer tools usage.
Testing microservices or integrations.
Understanding CI/CD quality impact.
